As a thoroughly involved person in many roles in the business industry, and as a member of the civic and provincial community for the past four decades, he has served in roles ranging from Director, Vice Chair, and President of many commissions, boards, and Committees, including nine years served as the Mayor for the Town of Tofield. He has strong interpersonal and perceptive skills acquired by working individually and with a team. Nabil was awarded the Alberta Centennial 1905–2005 Recipient of the Queen’s Nomination Medal & Certificate honoring outstanding Albertans; Battle River County Ambassador Certificate as an Ambassador for the Battle River Alliance for Economic Development; Business of the Year Award, presented by the Chamber of Commerce 2008; Golden Plaque Award for Customer Service in Canada, presented by Pizza Hut 1996 and Cheese Award for Customer Service in Canada presented by Pizza 73 for four consecutive years 1990. Through ongoing meetings with the community and proficient leaders, he has strengthened his bonds with the city and the province. As a trusted collaborator, he developed partnerships with other service providers, clients, and cultural communities to build a great faction for new families. He is an insightful teacher of basic life skills and has honed his coaching and counseling skills to maximize success for the betterment of the community.
The Cultural Society of Aley & District was established in Edmonton in 2004 and registered as a non-profit organization in 2005.
